Lithuania celebrates Lithuanian State Restoration Day for the 150th time.

One hundred and five years…

No! Not true – for more than half a hundred years nobody has allowed us to celebrate this holiday!… We stood up! We fought back! We restored! And we celebrate again!…

Only this year differently! Last year, just eight days after our February 16th celebration, Russia invaded Ukraine, and every day they keep threatening to come for OUR FREEDOM…

After many years WE must stand up for each other again. Stand FOR Lithuania. Stand up for each other: “I AM PART OF YOU” and to stand up for FREEDOM.

Several dozens of giant grey blocks, which can be carried around the stage by modern dancers to form various compositions: a cemetery, a wall, the silhouette of Kaunas Castle, etc. In this way, we will use the choreography of the blocks to tell the audience the story of Lithuania’s independence struggle.

The concert will feature the most prominent and well-known Lithuanian performers.

During the concert, Kaunas City Municipality will award five persons or groups of persons who have distinguished themselves most in the past year by promoting Lithuania and preserving freedom.
