“SEL will try to improve another record: they will do it by returning to Kaunas Žalgirio Arena

After enjoying record-breaking concerts at Kaunas Darius and Girėnas Stadium and Klaipėda Švyturys Arena, Egidijus Dragūnas announces yet another spectacular show. SEL will have exactly one year to prepare for it: a spectacular event full of new state-of-the-art solutions will take place on 14 December 2024 in Kaunas Žalgiris Arena. Sel has no doubt that it will also be a record-breaker.

In 2014, SEL became the third band in the world, after U2 and Robbie Williams, to perform 360 concerts at Žalgirio Arena, breaking its attendance record. They then repeated the concert in 2015 and broke their own record. Thereafter, there has never been a show with a similar concept to this day. That is why we want to do again what no one else can do – to improve our own record once again. The show is going to be extremely challenging, as it will be very difficult to soundtrack. For example, if you want to imagine what is going to happen, multiply the visuals you have seen by four, because we will be showing the whole thing from four sides. For next year’s concert, we will not only do that, but we will also do 360-degree surround sound. This has never been done before in Lithuanian arenas,” Dragūnas reveals a little about his ambitions.

According to him, the band’s 2024 plan is very clear: the new album will be recorded and probably only one concert will be held, which will take place in Žalgirio Arena.

“When you have a precise goal, it is much easier to achieve it. I urge you to buy your tickets as soon as possible, because they are going to be really expensive. Kaunas’ Darius and Girenas Stadium had a capacity of 35,000 fans, but there will only be room for 22,500 spectators. After that, there will be no possibility to get in”, says the leader of SEL.

He says that he will not reveal his ideas yet, and can only say that the concert will be theatrical, because he wants to gather a very diverse audience, including the already much-loved older fans, as well as young people and children.

“It will be like a fairy tale”, Sel intrigues.
