Created and directed by the Colombian musician Nicolás Cristancho, this band
combines Afro-Caribbean rhythms, Afro-Colombian traditional music and contemporary
improvisation.
The result is a warm and vibrant show, with a strong stage presence and interaction
with the audience.
Currently based in Barcelona, the group is formed by musicians of diverse nationalities,
to project the multi-cultural essence of Latin America and its enrichment in cities as
Barcelona, where they re-built the connections with the cultures that converge in the
Mediterranean port including European, African and Middle Eastern.
Those have been in permanent relation with the identity of Latin America and the
Caribbean.
It combines a solid repertoire with improvisations and experimentation in real time.
Their musical research and versatility produce a show with great movement. They
invite to dance and to discover the Latin identity as a transforming element of the global
identity.
