It is already a beautiful tradition that every winter, during the holiday season, one of the world’s most touring ballet troupes, the Moscow City Ballet, hosts its tours in Lithuania. This year the troupe will present one of the most popular Christmas stories – the classic ballet “The Nutcracker” by Piotr Tchaikovsky.
Ballet, which premiered as early as 1892. In St. Petersburg, the libretto is based on an adaptation by E. Diuma of the tale “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice” by E. T. A. Hofman.
