The band “Karališka Erdvė” is reborn for the only concert in Žalgirio arena
December 7 The legendary Lithuanian dance music group “Royal Space” will hold its only concert in the country at the Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas. This is a group whose songs have already been recorded in the history of Lithuanian popular music – “Karaliau spalaptys (The sun slowly sets)”, “Diskoteka”, “Holiday”, “Sokių karstligė (I want to dance)” and many others. The pioneer of Lithuanian dance music, “Karališka Erdvė” already fascinated with its musical uniqueness a quarter of a century ago, combining house, eurodance, breakbeat, happy hardcore and other fashionable elements of music genres of that time. Recently, the group’s work has experienced a real revival and a huge upsurge – on modern Internet music platforms, the songs of “Karališka Erdvė” collect millions of listens and have already become one of the most popular in Lithuania.
The band’s exclusive and only show at the Žalgirio arena will be a real surprise not only for all loyal fans of “Karališka Erdvė”, but also for the young generation that discovered and liked the band’s work. An impressive scenography will be created for the concert, a group of dancers gathered especially for the project will participate, and the program will feature all the best and newly arranged works of the group. So there is no need to doubt that the biggest Lithuanian dance music party of the year will take place on December 7th. In Kaunas, live with the band’s legendary super hits “Iš leto leidžiasi saulė”, “Vakareja”, “I want to dance” and many others!
The group “Karališka Erdvė” was formed in the mid-90s and immediately drew attention to itself due to its unique sound and bright stage image. In 1995, the debut album “Serbentėlė” was released, followed by four more successful albums – “Soki su manim”, “Du thousand and one night”, “Debesėliai” and “Aistra”. The group constantly experimented with musical styles, going beyond the traditional boundaries of the pop music genre of the time, and its songs stood out for their melodic motifs, pulsating with energy and rhythm.
During the 10th anniversary of its existence, the group actively performed not only in Lithuania, but also abroad. Today, the songs of “Karališkos Erdvės” have become an integral part of the repertoire of the biggest music shows and concerts of the most popular artists. Full basketball arenas and football fields wake up when “The sun is slowly setting” is heard, this song has even become an unofficial anthem of some sports clubs and their fans. It is not only one of the most popular Lithuanian dance music pieces of all time, but also a real source of inspiration for dance music creators and DJs.
For many years, the members of the group did not even consider the possibility of returning to the stage – it was enough for them to watch the life of the songs of “Karališka Erdvė” from the sidelines in the modern world of Lithuanian music and entertainment. However, in recent years, the attention and pressure to perform live again has become so great that after hesitating for a good couple of years, the band members decided to hold the only performance at the Žalgirio arena in Kaunas.
