“Daddy Was A Milkman” announces the most spectacular concert of their career

Ignas Pociunas, known as “Daddy Was A Milkman”, is preparing for the most spectacular concert of his career. On 14 December, he will bring his fans to Zalgirio Arena in Kaunas, where he will perform together with the orchestra led by Modestas Pitrenas. The country’s biggest arena will feature all the most popular “Daddy Was A Milkman” hits and new songs.

“Our concert with the Modestas Pitrėnas Orchestra at the Midsummer Festival in Vilnius was our most mature, interesting and emotionally powerful performance to date. “Daddy Was A Milkman”, who performed with popular rockers Maneskin on the stage of the “Summer In The City” festival in Vilnius’ Vingis Park at the beginning of the summer, has no doubt that the concert with the orchestra will not leave anyone indifferent.

Daddy Was A Milkman, which debuted six years ago, quickly won the hearts of music lovers and music critics alike. The best proof of this is the explosive concerts. From the summer 2016 launch concert of their debut album Daydreaming to the biggest shows of their career at Trakai Castle and Zalgirio Arena, the biggest in the country. The newcomer to the scene was well appreciated not only by music lovers – at the M.A.M.A. ceremony, Daddy Was A Milkman won the Breakthrough of the Year and the Electronica of the Year awards.

2018 has been a particularly successful year for the artist. He was nominated for a record number of M.A.M.A. awards. “Daddy Was A Milkman” was up for four nominations – Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Concert Artist of the Year and Pop Artist of the Year. During the ceremony, Ignas Pociūnas was awarded the most important title of all – the M.A.M.A. jury voted him “Artist of the Year”.

“Daddy Was A Milkman” is one of the few artists from our country who have achieved success not only in Lithuania but also abroad. Apart from the fact that his songs are often broadcast by foreign radio stations, “Daddy Was A Milkman” is probably the only representative of our scene who has been giving concerts in Riga’s Palladium Club and Arena Riga.

Many of the biggest festival organisers in the region want to see him in their programmes. Daddy Was A Milkman has already played several times at Positivus, the biggest Baltic festival. His excellent performances have been enjoyed by the audience of Granatos Live, the largest Lithuanian music festival.

Four years ago, “Daddy Was A Milkman” released the double studio album Intimate Us. At the end of 2021, “Daddy Was A Milkman” released its first album of Lithuanian songs, “When the autumn taught me”, which was presented in two exclusive concerts at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. These concerts are captured on the vinyl record “When the autumn taught me”.
