Straight from Sweden! New Year with the best ABBA songs

The good tradition of festively welcoming the New Year with ABBA’s most popular songs continues! December 27 – 30 the best ABBA tribute band in the world – “ARRIVAL from Sweden” with the program “The Music of ABBA In Symphony” will host their performances in the arenas of four big cities in Lithuania. This time, the concerts will be even more impressive, as the Swedish group will perform not only with its big rhythm group, but also with the accompaniment of the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra!

The grandiose two-part concerts will feature all ABBA’s best hits – “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia”, “Does Your Mother Know”, “Take A Chance”, “SOS”, “The Winner Takes It All”, “Super Trouper”, “Money Money Money”, “Waterloo”, “Honey Honey”, “Fernando”, “Chiquitita”, “Knowing Me Knowing You”, “Thank You For The Music”, “Gimme Gimme Gimme” and of course “Happy New Year”.

The band “ARRIVAL from Sweden” was formed in 1995. in Gothenburg, Sweden, and almost instantly became one of the most popular ABBA tribute bands in the world. Since its inception, ARRIVAL from Sweden has toured more than 70 countries with concerts, and over the past twenty years has held more than 80 successful tours in America. During its career, ARRIVAL from Sweden has performed with more than 100 symphony orchestras, including Boston, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta and prestigious symphony orchestras in other countries. So, very soon, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will add to this honorable list!

The shows of the group “ARRIVAL from Sweden”, which will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary next year, are recognized worldwide as the best and most authentic since ABBA, so their shows are usually sold out. On stage, the band wear ABBA’s original stage costumes, coordinated by fashion designer Owe Sandstrom, who designed all of ABBA’s stage clothes.

ARRIVAL from Sweden is the only band to be given permission by legendary ABBA members Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson to record a previously unreleased ABBA song. The song “Just A Notion” was recorded by the group “ARRIVAL from Sweden” in 1999 and only recently, in 2021, this song appeared on the last (ninth) album of the original ABBA “Voyage”, released after a 40-year hiatus.

There are many bands in the world that perform ABBA songs, but even the official ABBA fan club admits that ARRIVAL from Sweden is the best ABBA tribute band in the world. Absolutely the best ABBA since ABBA!
