“Group 2 – Karolis ir Donatas”, well-known in the Lithuanian music scene, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. “Over the past ten years, the group’s circle of fans and friends has expanded so much that it’s time to invite everyone to big arenas to celebrate music and life together,” say the group members.

“Time is the only thing that flies by very quickly,” says Donatas Balvočius, who returned to the group’s activities after a break a couple of years ago.

“Sometimes you need to stop thinking about what was bad, you should remember what is good, but everything comes together into a single whole – all events are not subject to time, but as it flies, you can only observe what is happening in life. These moments are very important,” he adds.

A few years ago, the group was shocked by unexpected news – the loss of their stage colleague, D. Čižauskas. Shortly after, group member D. Balvočius returned to the stage. Donatas says that the events somehow accompanied him to a new stage:

“We locked ourselves in the recording studio, connected the speakers, microphones and simply re-sung all the songs that we were supposed to sing in the arena. I noticed how sincerely my stage partner Karolis was listening to me – this left the biggest impression on me and encouraged me – everything would be fine for the band. Our sincere dedication to continuing the band’s activities together was soon felt by the entire audience. This was the beginning of a new stage,” Donatas recalls.

Speaking about the best times, the band’s vocalist Karolis emphasizes not only the time on stage, but also the contribution of his family to what he is today:
“If it weren’t for my family, maybe I wouldn’t be here either, such a strong person, not only in this world, but also on stage. “As in the family, so on stage, you need to feel a great responsibility, and the best time is after the concerts, when the fans come up and are happy that we are the only ones who come up to them and hug them. And this is true, no matter whether it is a restaurant or an arena,” says K. Akulavičius about the strong connection with the fans.

Group 2 – Karolis and Donatas – well-known performers and songwriters Karolis Akulavičius and Donatas Balvočius share the good news – in December of this year, they will invite their fans and friends to Kaunas “Žalgirio” arena.

“For a while”, “It’s hard to be alone”, “1000 years”, “Memories”, “Sometimes you sat down”, “You sat down next to me”, “Well, how are you now?”, “From my heart”, “How much…” “I don’t care”, “A pilot’s dream”, “Do you want to love?” – this is definitely not the whole list of songs that have stood the test of time and are loved by listeners. Songs that everyone wants to hum, dance and sing along to.

“Last year we held a tour of Lithuania – all tickets were sold out, 20 thousand people attended the concerts. people, so we realized that the fans simply wouldn’t fit in the small spaces,” the band members share.

“We’re coming to have fun together, for music, for life. We’re preparing for it a lot, it’s going to be unreal. We believe in what we’re doing, and we want to celebrate it in an unforgettable way,” says K. Akulavičius happily.

“What I’m looking forward to the most at the concerts is the chebras from all over Samogitia,” jokes D. Balvočius. “We invite all our fans and friends to sing and celebrate together.”
