Maestro Stasys Povilaitis. A legend of the Lithuanian pop scene, one of the most beloved singers in the country, whose name is inscribed in golden letters in the history of our country’s music. In the fall of 2025, it will be ten years since Stasys Povilaitis laid down his life, but his bright memory and songs will forever live on in the hearts of thousands of people. In order to warmly remember the charismatic artist and sing all his most popular works at the same time, three grandiose concerts are being organized – “The Best Hits of Stasys Povilaitis of All Time”, which will take place on January 25, 2025 at the Palanga Concert Hall, on February 2 at the Šiauliai Arena and on February 8 at the Kaunas “Žalgiris” Arena.

The concerts will feature famous Lithuanian singers – Inga Valinskienė, Edmundas Kučinskas, Povilas Meškėla, Ona Kolobovaitė, Egidijus Bavikinas, Ieva Juozapaitytė, Laurynas Baškys (“Thundertale”), accompanied by the Kaunas Big Band. The two-part program will feature all the best works of the stage master – “Kristina”, “Aidi Aidi”, “Sudeginti Tiltai”, “Pago Pago”, “Sesilija”, “Atsisesikinimas prie jūros”, “Ćigonės akys”, “Pienės pūkas”, “Tu man atleisk”, “Švieski man vēl” and many other popular songs by S. Povilaitis about the joy of life, light and love.

An exceptional personality, always elegant and poised, a true gentleman of the stage – this is how Stasys Povilaitis is remembered by his friends and fans, who called the singer the Lithuanian Frank Sinatra. The maestro’s discography includes 20 solo albums, the last of which, the double “Golden Hits of the Last Century” was released in 2013. The musician has received numerous awards and prestigious awards – many for his services to Lithuanian music. In 1967, Stasys Povilaitis became the laureate of the Baltic States competition “Liepajas Dzintars”, in 1991 he won the Antanas Šabaniauskas Prize, in 1997 he was awarded the “Bravo” statuette for his services to music, in 1997 the performer was awarded the Order of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas, V degree, in 2007 – the Government Culture and Art Prize, and in 2013 Stasys Povilaitis was awarded the medal “For Merit to Vilnius and the Nation” and received the “M.A.M.A” award for lifetime achievement.
