Ballet de Catalunya is a ballet company consisting of a team of dancers, teachers and choreographers of exceptional artistry, world-renowned professionals in the world of dance.
Ballet de Catalunya’s soloists are graduates of the world’s most prestigious ballet schools: the Royal Ballet School, the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala, the Paris Grand Opera Ballet School, the New York School of American Ballet; winners and laureates of international competitions: the Prix de Lausanne, the Grand Prix de New York (America), the Toronto International Ballet Competition Genée, the Danceartclassic Competition (Germany), the Les espoirs de la danse Competition (France), etc.

The adventures of Clara and her Prince Nutcracker take place in a unique Venice, full of chocolate, sweets and cakes; making the sweetest dreams of any child or adult come true. “The story of The Nutcracker is based on Ernst Hoffmann’s original fairy tale, adapted by Alexander Dumas, which is still being staged in a ballet interpretation. A great classic among the classical repertoire, with an immortal story full of love, magic and illusions.

Ballet de Catalunya’s artistic director Elias Garsia is a certified teacher at the Paris Opera Ballet School. Elias Garsia is one of Europe’s most modern ballet directors, a former soloist with the Monte Carlo Ballet, the National Ballet of Zaragoza and Ballet du Nord.
Ballet Master Vincent Gros graduated from the Royal Ballet School in London. He has danced with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal, and as a soloist with several companies including Cape Town City Ballet, Leipzig Ballet, Toulouse Capitoline Ballet and Madrid Ballet.
Ballet Master Ángeles Lacalle has worked with the companies of the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), the Stadteather de Klagenfurt (Austria), and was involved in the world premieres of Gaudi and Aida at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
