PUPO | SECRET SERVICE | SAVAGE | JOY

Four well-known music names to perform at Zalgirio Arena

Four stars, three countries and about 200 minutes of music that will take you back to the most wonderful memories. On 4 November, Kaunas Zalgirio Arena will host not only Lithuania’s, but also the world’s most famous names – Pupo, Secret Service, Joy and Savage!

The biggest fans are women
Pupo, Savage, Secret Service and Joy were invited back by Back To The 80’s 90’s Lietuva, a concert organiser with a solid reputation in Lithuania.
Italian Roberto Zanetti is well-known by his stage name Savage. He is not only a singer, but also a producer, composer and businessman.
However, Roberto Zanetti’s calling card and the symbol of Italian disco music are his hits – “Goodbye”, “Only you”, “Dont’ Cry Tonight”, which are recognised by millions of fans from the first chords.
“Women are the biggest part of my fan base, and in your country, I already know that they are amazing. And almost all my songs are dedicated to women,” Savage, one of the brightest disco stars of the 1980s, revealed an open secret.

“Ten O’Clock Postman” still raises euphoria
Secret Service, another band returning to Lithuania, is no less acclaimed in the music world. Although the wave of popularity of the once long-haired Swedes peaked in the early 1980s with their hits “Oh Susie”, “Ten O’Clock Postman” and the European smash “Flash in the Night”, the band is still popular today after more than three decades of career.
Its performances are unmouldy, its musicians are in control and entertain the audience, and when Ten O’Clock Postman comes on, the euphoria is beyond words.
The new wave, rock and pop hits “Oh Susie” and “Flash in the Night” by the world’s biggest new wave, rock and pop band have been breaking radio station popularity records in various European countries. In recent years, Secret Service has experienced a resurgence, with the highly acclaimed live quartet being invited to perform not only in the biggest European arenas in Norway, Germany, France, Austria and other European countries, but also at the world’s most dominant music festivals.

Policeman, teacher and DJ
The members of the Austrian band Joy met when they were at school together. But then fate took them on their own paths – Andy Schweitzer became a policeman, Freddy Jaklitsch worked as a German language and history teacher at school and Manfred Temmel DJed in a German disco club. But in 1984, the school friends crossed paths again and decided to embark on a professional music career.
The first single “Lost In Hong Kong” was not a sensation, but it brought the band to the attention of the public. But the second single, “Touch By Touch”, was already a big success, making it to the European Top Dance 20, No.1 in Austria and “gold” in many European countries. The next two singles “Hello” and “Valerie” earned the band popularity not only on the Old Continent but also in Asia.
“Joy has performed to audiences of more than 50,000 and has appeared on several popular TV shows. Over the course of their career, Joy has released 4 studio albums (the last one, In Love, was released in 2021), 5 best-of collections and 18 singles.

“Baby”, with the enchanting loops of “Su di Noi”
The fourth magician of the grandiose concert on 4 November at Kaunas Zalgirio Arena is Enzo Ghinazzi, known worldwide as Pupo, who can also be called the baker of hits.
Growing up in a very strict environment and singing in a church choir, Pupo, the name given to newborn babies in Italy, became famous for his songs “Ciao” and “Gelato al Cioccolato” (Chocolate Ice Cream), written by the famous Italian songwriter Christiano Malgioglio.
The album that brought the success was also called ‘Chocolate Ice Cream’. In 1981, at the San-Reno Festival, with the song ‘Su di Noi’, ‘Baby’ came only third, but won worldwide fame.
Having triumphed at more than 50 music festivals, recorded 11 albums and sold more than 25 million copies, Pupo is welcomed in all corners of the world. He becomes a TV presenter, participates in a reality show in Brazil and several more times in the San Remo Festival, bakes hits, opens an ice-cream parlour named after his superhit Gelato al Cioccolato, where one of his three daughters, Valentina, works.
Tickets for the golden hits “Su di Noi”, “Ten O’Clock Postman”, “Touch By Touch”, “Goodbye”, which are still being played in concerts in different parts of the world, are on sale now at bilietai.lt.
