Accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis will be performing his Cinema Sounds Tour at the end of the year in the country’s major arenas. Together with the Mikroorkéstra chamber ensemble, which he directs, the talented musician will present a special programme of music from the most famous Hollywood films and beyond.

The enchanting Cinema Sounds Tour takes audiences to the Hollywood that never sleeps, where romance is accompanied by drama and tragedy by action, where every film is a suspense thriller, with a veil of surprises and a good party. We will hear music from well-known films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission Impossible, Gladiator, The Godfather, Game of Thrones, Boulevard Scroll, The Pink Panther and many more. What makes the project unique is that all the works are arranged for accordion and chamber orchestra, which adds new colours to the cinematic sound of the film. Of course, the collection of the most outstanding gems of film music will be complemented by unexpected surprises.

Young, driven and insanely talented. Today, Martynas Levickis is one of the world’s most sought-after accordionists, having won more than 30 international awards. He has played with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Birmingham City Symphony, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and other world-renowned orchestras, and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Wigmore Hall, the Seoul Arts Centre and other renowned concert halls. Martynas, who has been named the accordion’s ambassador, has taken part in the Dresden, Thuringia, Edinburgh, Schleswig-Holstein, Utrecht and other classical and jazz festivals, and was named this year’s Instrumentalist of the Year at the prestigious OPUS KLASSIK 2023 Music Awards.
