One of the world’s most popular and best-loved ballets, The Nutcracker, created more than 100 years ago, is a beautiful Christmas tale, full of the miracles we want to believe in during the festive season. Inspired by E.T.A. Hoffman’s fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, this story has become an integral part of the Christmas season. It takes us back to our childhood, invites us to believe in the wonders of Christmas and allows us to watch the battle between good and evil, where love ultimately wins.
This year, the most beautiful Christmas tale will be presented by Sofia Festival Ballet, a Bulgarian ballet company visiting Lithuania for the first time, which has been delighting audiences all over the world for years with its exquisite choreography and craftsmanship. The company consists of some of the best dancers from the national opera and ballet theatres of Bulgaria, Norway, Macedonia, Romania and other countries.
Sofia Festival Ballet is a classical ballet company with a repertoire that includes Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and others. During their first visit to Lithuania, they will present one of their most beautiful productions, the classical ballet “The Nutcracker”, which will enchant young and old alike.
During this magical season, let yourself believe in the magic at the festive performance of the ballet “Nutcracker” on 30th December at Zalgirio Arena.
