Study shows that 4 from 5 Lithuania citizens are participating at big Lithuania or foreign countries events, at least one time a year. The numbers where reveled after interweaving Lithuania Citizens from 15 to 65 years old. The most popular events are concerts, exhibitions, family events and basketball games. Most of the respondents state, that the best place to participate in big events is “Zalgiris” arena at Kaunas city. This survey conducted by Market Research Company SIC. “Zalgiris” arena beats their competitors because of modern look like During 3 years period almost half Lithuania population visited “Zalgiris” arena. Survey participants state that this building advantage is: beautiful and modern design (66 %), great sound system (46%), convenient parking (36%) and frequently occurring great events (basketball games, concerts, exhibitions etc.) Basketball games are one of the most popular events at “Zalgiris” arena. During last year, almost half of our regular visitors were coming to arena because of the basketball games. 33% of the participants state that it is easy to reach arena with the public transport. Because of the Kaunas city council, during big events Kaunas city public transport increase the number of busses, which helps our visitors to reach arena and their homes safe and cheap. Lithuanian citizens is choosing Kaunas arena Research shows that people would choose “Zalgiris” arena if all Lithuania arenas were offering the same event with the same price. 44% of the participants chosen “Zalgiris” arena, and the next opponent Vilnius “Siemens” arena collected only 28%. Klaipėda “Švyturio” arena 12%, Šiauliai arena 9%, Panevėžys "Cido" arena 3% . It is not a surprise that people are choosing arena located nearest their house. You can see it from analyzed data, then survey participants where choosing Vilnius, Klaipėda, Šiauliai or Panevėžys arena. However the numbers of people who were choosing “Zalgiris” arena is much higher than others. People are choosing “Zalgiris” arena because it has big hall with great acoustic (21%), sweet and comfortable surrounding (13%), it is easy to reach it with the car (10%) and on-fifth of Lithuania citizen would like to visit Kaunas arena, because they have never been there before. The most interesting fact is that 4% of participants would like to visit “Zalgiris” arena only because it name, while others arenas names if not so attractive as “Zalgiris” arena. This can be explained because of “Zalgiris” words importance in Lithuania citizens minds and home team – Kaunas “Zalgiris” influence- said arena’s Executive director A.Ivanauskiene. “Zalgiris” arena is making Kaunas city more attractive Almost 70% of the survey participants who live in Kaunas are proud that Kaunas city owns “Zalgiris” arena. This result shows that “Zalgiris” arena is the most popular new building, during 10 year period. Furthermore 65% of the respondent state that arena is improves people opinion about Kaunas city. “It is always nice to hear about good ratings, however we are not going to stand in one place- we are always trying new ideas and technologies. Next season we are planning to decrease arena queues by adapting cashless payment system. This system is going to help our visitors to pay for the goods quick and easy. Furthermore, we are opening a kid’s zone, where kids will be able to have some fun, while their parents is watching basketball games or participating in others events” – said A.Ivanauskiene.
