The European Powerlifting Federation and Lithuanian Powerlifting Federation welcome you to Kaunas, Lithuania for the European Classic Open, Junior and Sub-Junior Powerlifting Championships, 24th November to 2nd December 2018.

The competition will be held in the amphitheater of the biggest arena in Kaunas called Zalgirio arena. It is situated in the island of the biggest Lithuanian river Nemunas in the very heart of Kaunas city. All championships hotels are situated close to the arena. Therefore it will be convenient getting there not only on the buses provided by the organizers of championships but also on feet. Near arena there is big shopping and entertainment center Akropolis where lots of shops, restaurants, cinema and ice-skating ring will suite everybody’s  taste and wishes. Less than 10 minutes’ walk by feet from arena there is the longest pedestrian street in Eastern Europe called Laisves al?ja (Alley of Freedom). It is 1,6 km length and ends up in the old city of Kaunas. It is full of small boutiques, restaurants, and welcomes to admire the art deco style buildings. Thirty Lithuanian lifters will take part in European Classic Powerlifting Championships. Among them the most famous Lithuanian lifter Amandas Paulauskas who will compete in men open weight class 120 kg last day of championships. This year he has already became World classic bench press champion and won bronze in World Classic Powerlifting Championship.
