At the halfway point of the regular season, Turkish Airlines EuroLeague general managers were polled and it showed that Zalgiris has the best arena in the tournament. This survey took place for the fourth year in a row.
The results indicated that 56,25 percent of the interviewed agreed that Zalgiris has the most professional arena of this season’s EuroLeague. The second place went to Fenerbache Istanbul (18,75%). This is the third time that Zalgirio arena has received this award.
This survey also had other categories and winners. For example, every single one of EuroLeague‘s team representative believes that Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow will compete in this year‘s Final Four. In this category Fenerbahce collected 93,33 percent of the votes, while Olympiacos Piraeus got 53,33%.
CSKA Moscow was also chosen as the toughest opponent, and Baskonia Vitoria was picked as the team that was the most pleasant to watch.
Zeljko Obradovic was named the best coach of the tournament. He got 31,25 percent of the votes. The second place went to CSKA coach, Dimitris Itoudis – he received 25%. The third and fourth places went to Baskonia coach Sito Alonso (18,75%) and Darussafaka‘s representative David Blatt (12,5%).
In other categories, the city of Barcelona was chosen as the most favorite to visit and the fans of Crvena Zvezda Belgrade were picked as the noisiest.
